To-do list

✔️ Fertilize plants monthly throughout winter – even if dormant – to stimulate growth and provide additional protection from low temperatures. Fertilization warms the plant roots, and fertilizes the soil

✔️ Regroup plants in pots to protect them from cold, provide warm humidity, create a moderate atmosphere and prevent strong air currents from passing between them

✔️ Protect sensitive plants by providing transparent cover according to the size of the pot

✔️ Whenever necessary, move indoors frost-sensitive plants – such as some roses, herbs and cactus – if they are in pots, or place them in south oriented balconies

✔️ Take cuttings from your indoor plants to propagate them (check my video on Monstera propagation as an inspiration)

✔️ Take leaf cuttings from succulents, especially echeverias

✔️ Prune fruit trees, grapevines, roses

Sustainability actions

Hang feeders for the birds in order to attract them so that they will help you get rid of unwanted insects and protect your garden plants and trees. Clean out the bird feeders regularly
